Meet Dr. Francisco Alvarez
Dr. Francisco Alvarez, DVM
Francisco Alvarez, DVM, is the owner of Lone Star Animal Hospital, where he combines a deep-rooted passion for horses with advanced medical expertise. He attended Texas A&M University, earning both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees, and went on to complete a specialized internship at a referral sports medicine hospital in Texas.
Named PSI Practitioner of the Year 2021, Dr. Alvarez is committed to staying on the cutting edge of equine medicine — regularly attending ISELP classes and ultrasound labs to ensure his patients receive the most advanced care available.
Outside of work, you'll often find him at horse shows cheering on his daughter Alyssa as she competes. For Dr. Alvarez, it's all about making a difference in the lives of horses and the people who love them.
